Grapple Gun

The Grapple Gun was developed by Lieutenant Zola after experiencing the fictionalized version in Rik Caine’s Batman holodeck program. The device, which looks similar in appearance, has the appearance of a large, flat gun, with a circular section combining the handle to the barrel. Using a high-powered retractable tensile cord, strong enough to carry the weight of the average user plus another full size adult, it fires a three-pronged tritanium alloy claw at the target. The claw, able to penetrate most materials, then springs open, providing a secure support to rappel the user directly to the point. Alternatively, the device can also detach the cord compartment and be affixed to another surface, creating a zip line using the gun as the handle.
