Photon Traditions

From LCARS

(To be expanded and cleaned up later)

Meta: This will eventually represent an in-universe repository created and maintained by Tory (and later Remy), initially as a joke, of "traditional Photon practices". These are 'traditional' largely in a similar sense to Pastafarianism's appropriation of Hollywood-style pirate imagery.

For the most part, any story that deals with non-organic intelligence - particularly if it features at least one non-malevolent one - is fair game, along with a few additional nods to particular favorites of Diz, Cor, and some of the early photons.

    • TRON Lines are considered a traditional aesthetic, somewhat comparable to the lots-of-white-with-gold-trim aesthetics of many churches/religious vestments
  • The Matrix
    • The sunglasses. Any of them, but the symbolism varies depending on which set you choose.
    • The "raining code" effect is another traditional aesthetic, perhaps comparable to stained glass religious imagery.

    • The phrase "INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANSWER" in particular
  • Doctor Who
    • Cybermen and Daleks are explicitly excluded/vilified because they represent fleshbags attempting to take on perceived qualities of synthetics and becoming the worst of both worlds
