Xioruk

Xioruk had been in indentured servitude on a mining ship at the time of Romulus and Remus' destruction. As the Romulans drew together to rebuild their society, they ignored the Remans for a time unless they were under contract. Xioruk made a move to buy out her contract, and because the Romulan who captained the ship was distraught over the loss of his family, he let her and the other Remans under contract go at a fraction of what their contracts stipulated for the buy out because he was giving up mining to help rebuild the government. She gathered all of her released shipmates and started the first political organization for the Remans.

At first, she tried to reach out to the emerging Romulan Political powers, trying to find a place in the foundation of this new government for the Remans as equal players. When the Romulan prejudices continued to run deep as ever, especially as things started to build towards normalicy again, she settled for trying to find a sympathetic ear as powers fluctuated and settled. A couple of Senators have spoken to her, claiming sympathy, but actions taken thus far have been limited and token at best.
